Google has started working on the Pagerank algorithm more aggressively than before. There has a recent spree of Google Page Rank updates in the recent past. As per our assessment, there has been almost three updates this year, the first being in January 2011, follwed by one in June 2011 and now mid August. PageRank was a unique concept conceptualized by Google in 1998. The Page rank signifies the importance of one’s website. The higher page rank websites were considered more important in terms of online traffic. Page Rank values vary from 0 – 10, PR0 being the least and PR10 the Highest valued. However with the advent of time, the algorithm changed comprehensively and now as per Google Webmaster’s website, the website webmasters should not focus so much on PageRank as a metric for representing the success of one’s website. The website with lower Page Rank might have better traffic than with higher page rank. Now the question? When is the Google Page Rank PR update going to happen. Going by the trends and assumptions, we can only hope it could come up in the mid of November but let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best of the Page Rank.
