Magento a leading open source ecommerce web application software has announced the availability of Magento Preview Version CE 1.6.1.0-rc1. As per the Magento Blog, this is a preview version for Magento developer for test environment only and is not recommended to be used in a production environment. This release is available for upgrade through the Connect Manager, to download or via SVN. Magento has considerably improved upon it’s features with SEO friendly rewrite options. No doubt it is on the way to become the fastest growing open source eCommerce software in the world.

- Improvements to the admin grids
